UNRBA Releases its Monitoring Program Annual Report, May 18, 2016

The 2015 Annual Monitoring Report for Falls Lake is now available.  The report summarizes data from the lake and streams flowing into Falls Lake. The data reviewed includes lake sampling performed by the Division of Water Resources, data provided by the City of Durham, and the UNRBA's monitoring effort. The UNRBA's Monitoring Program began in August, 2014, and this annual report includes a review of all data collected since that time up to December, 2015. The UNRBA's Monitoring Program is scheduled to continue through July of 2018, but may extend for an additional year. This monitoring effort was undertaken to assist the Association's reexamination of the existing Falls Lake Nutrient Strategy. This monitoring effort represents the most extensive sampling program ever performed in the Falls Lake Watershed.
